Breastfeeding, Getting off to a Healthy Start- This introductory class is 2 hours in length and designed for women in their middle or last trimester. We cover all of your questions about breastfeeding, and managing the first days and weeks after delivery. We will focus on position and latch with videos and you can bring a doll for hands-on practice. You'll see examples of gadgets and gizmos and get an honest opinion on what's "nice to have" vs what's necessary. Your support person is welcome and recommended!
This is a one-session class scheduled on the third Saturday of the month from 10am-12pm

Essentials of Employment and Breastfeeding-A 2 hour class designed for mothers preparing for their return to work after the baby's birth. This class will cover Building Your Milk Supply, Milk Expression Techniques, Milk Storage, Choosing the right breastpump for you, Talking with your Employer, and Traveling. Taking this class will prepare you for effective pumping and making a smooth transition back to work.
This is a one-session class scheduled on the third Saturday of the month from 1pm-3pm
Fee: $40.00 for one-session class (Private class-$50.00) Includes book by Pamela Wiggins "Breastfeeding, A Mother's Gift"

Join us for an evening of food and fun.Learn from our local expert about preparing organic foods, healthy eating for pregnant and nursing moms, transitional foods you can make for nursing babies (introducing table foods) and toddlers. Prep will be demonstrated and food samples will be served.
