That may seem confusing, but it means there is a mode for every mom!  The built-in lithium battery on the Minuet provides up to 2.5 hours of battery life on a single charge. That's amazing!  Did we mention that the Minuet is only 3.5 inches wide?!   It's a small pump that packs a big punch!

* The only power option is through the USB charge (does come with a charging block).

Medela Pump In Style :  Is a name that has been around in the breast pump world for a long time and the Pump In Style is their most popular pump for some pretty good reasons.  Medela's two phase pumping technology stimulates the way a baby nurses, so you can adjust the speed and letdown feature to pump more efficiently.  The Pump In Style backpack version comes with a power cord and a

a battery pack, which can be a lifesaver when you need to pump and there's no outlet in sight.  Since Medela has been a big brand name for decades, finding spare parts in a pinch will not be a problem for this pump.  Medela offers a broad array of breast shield sizes to suit every mom and even more customization options are possible using products from outside companies like pumping pals etc... Customer service with Medela will not disappoint! The company has been around long enough to really be able to tend to your needs any time of the day or night. When you need them, they are there!

* 1 year warranty limited on motor, 90 days limited on other parts.

Cons:
* The motor is loud for some moms.
* The pump is an open air system (there is the potential for milk/mold/viruses to get into the pump/milk).
* You cannot adjust the speed cycle (you can only control suction strength).
* The pump is attached to the backpack (not removeable) which can be bulky for some moms.

PJ's Comfort:

* You may need to replace your filter often if you are not careful and milk backs up into it.

* Pump motor reported to not be as strong when using battery option.
